Architectural visualizations can be divided into two segments: lighting analysis and design visualization. This area is still considered the domain of artists and designers. However, the creation of 3D line drawings is technical in nature it does not lend itself easily to the generation of creative and attractive renderings. Gone are the days when the requirement of a new perspective necessitates the generation of a new set of renderings from scratch. Although line drawings and renderings are still sometimes preferred, no one can ignore the speed and power of computer graphics to elucidate and convey a complex design. Computer architectural visualization as a discipline is changing the way exterior and interior designs are displayed and presented.
